MBOX PROBLEM PLEASE HELP!

I have the mbox and it has never had any problems until just recently.

My inputs just went fuzzy and whenever I plug in an input like my keyboard, the recording sounds funny. But it plays through the mbox perfectly fine until you highlight the record button on the track. Then the distortion and fuzz comes whenever i play. Is this common? What's going on and how do i fix it!
