Default How to daisy chain???

Hey all, I've got a new MacBookPro and unfortunatly it has only one fire wire 800 port, and no slot for an expresscard. That leaves me no option other than to daisy chain my audio interface and my external hard drive together. Others have said It can work, but wondered if anyone has had real expeirence with
this configuration ? Any info would be appresiated. thanks,

Default Re: How to daisy chain???

either way should work, but safest would be to go macbook - drive - audio interface. the main reason being that if something happens with the audio interface you would lose connection to the drive which could corrupt data.
