Yep, those were come rough days. 11.3.2 would work on any system with a license for PT11, but they wouldn’t release the installer unless you had an active subscription. It was Uber frustrating and Avid lost most of their credibility on that one.

It might not be quite so bad if Avid gave you a 12-18 month grace period to get back on your upgrade subscription if you let it lapsse, instead of the 1 month grace period they have now.

This is all pure marketing and revenue stream BS. Clearly Avid’s “We have to charge for upgrades and bug fixes so we can deliver them more quickly than in the past” line has turned out to be completely false as well.

Yeah. I may finally drop off this year. I have til November. I don't find 2018 as stable as other versions. Hopefully they'll get out a great version this year.

Also it's already been stated by an Avid rep that release is delayed WEEKS.

I probably won't drop out because it's too hard to get back in! But it seems like we are supposed to get a steady stream of updates and fixes. Three months is quite a stretch with nothing. But at least it's working mostly for me. And I have gotten quite proficient at Logic in the past couple of years.

Too true, I opened a support case Friday morning because I didn't get the freebie leveler and I'm sure it won't get answered until at least tomorrow...apart from the automated initial response

i suspect 2018 will never get mojave support. Thats a big reason people will pay for an upgrade. Anyways when is this supposed to come out again?

Support for Ultimate/HDX works weekends. (They have/had a 24 hour window to get back on support issues)

At least the few times I've used it, I've gotten call backs on the weekends. Don't know about vanilla. Then again, we pay more for this.

Why would it? With the new naming scheme, there can be no more “2018” updates. year.month is the way they name them now.

2018.12.x, 2019.1, 2019.2 can never be. 2019.3 has a 10 hour chance of existing. After that it will be 2019.4.

You can keep saying this but it isn't true. The next version specifically has Mojave support. This has already been announced by Avid.

It was supposed to come out by 2019 Q1 end. It is not now. From another thread from earlier this past week, the Eucon/S6 product manager has mentioned that Pro Tools 2019.3 has been delayed by a few weeks. So it isn't coming out this weekend (for those holding their breaths.) Whether it will be a 2019.4 or 2019.5 is unknown but whatever stopped its release must have been a last minute showstopper issue. For those who complain they are paying to "beta test" software for Avid, be thankful that whatever halted shipping the latest version was found before release. I know the whiners would have filled up the DUC with more useless threads.
