Default Venue Standalone 4.1 on Windows 8.1 Not Happening for me...

Just got a brand new laptop & installed editor v-4.1 and I get the following error:
"Can Not Start Process 'GUI.exe' " Any ideas? It's a Toshiba laptop 64 bit running Windows 8.1 Just got this for the sole purpose of console editors... Please advise.
Thanks,
J

You need to go to http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl....aspx?id=26347, click Download, select vcredist_x86.exe, then
click Next. Launch downloaded file and perform an installation. After that you should have Standalone running fine.

I didnt realise there is a new 4.1 version.
Is this available for the consoles (SC48)?
What new features are included?

I think it is for the S3L only at the moment. That’s what they said at the S3L demo I went to.

VENUE 4.1 is not avilable for VENUE consoles (SC48/Mix Rack/D-Show). But 4.1. standalone software can work for any Avid live console - as usual, by switching console/rack type on Options->Devices.
