relinking audio
Hey guys need a little help here. I do most of my tracking on my home computer...I then the file with all the bounced folders, audio folder etc.. and put it on a usb stick and then go over to my friends place use my laptop to record his edrums.
the problem I'm having is get a relinking audio for only SOME of the audio files but I am unable to find them? I assumed that everything was stored on the one folder but apparently it is not? What am I missing?

Re: relinking audio
In "Preferences," do have "copy files on import" checked? If not, and those particular files are stored elsewhere, it won't put them in the audio files folder.

Re: relinking audio
I hate to say it, but they're probably somewhere on your laptop. Try opening the session on that computer and see if it finds everything.

Re: relinking audio
A sure way to get ALL the audio is to open the session on the first system and choose Save Session Copy>check the box for All Audio Files>save this to your USB stick.

Re: relinking audio
Easy to see where those files are/were: Relink window will show you. Also, you can just open the session browser window and sort by path to see if there are files for that session somewhere other than the "Audio Files" folder.

Re: relinking audio
In the Clip List, right click and select Show Full Path
this will tell you where Pro Tools thinks the files are
