Default Offline Bounce painfully slow

Noticing this issue running 12.7 (native with PCIe card and HD I/O) on Mac tower 12 Core (cheese grater circa 2012) + Sierra....

These sessions are pretty simple, mostly stereo tracks, only 2 plugs on 1 track (Fab Filter ProEQ and RevibeII).....

Offline bouncing is running between 5 - 10x on some sessions, upwards of 35x on others (with exact same setup).

Odd thing is that on my laptop (original 15" retina circa 2012 2.6G Intel i7), also running 12.7 native and Sierra the "slow bounce" sessions are seeing bounce rates upwards of 40x

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

seems to me that it is certain type / manufacturers of plugins used that cause this ..

Agreed. I've found that any sessions with Soundtoys plugins seem to (offline) bounce slower. Not to mention that bouncing sessions on HDX systems take way longer, due to the DSP plugins being recalculated to native for the offline bounce. Sometimes I forget to just bounce in real-time when I'm working on shortform projects, as offline actually takes longer for a :30 or :60 cue.
