Default 12.7.1 Clip layer bug

Hello,

In PT 12.7.1, with clip layering set to "off" when covering a clip with another, beginning at the same time location, and then suppress the clip to create a gap, it just reveals the underlaying clip again.

In 12.6.0 this worked perfectly and the ability to switch between "layered" and "non-layered" mode was perfectly efficient.

In 12.7.1 the non-layered mode is still a layered mode, and il you cover a clip by another and then delete it intentionally to create a blank space, like we do for specific post-production editing techniques, in many cases it doesn't create the gap you expected anymore.

The bug occurs when at least one of the two clips boundaries coincide.

This is VERY annoying as we use this "gap" feature intensively.
