Default laptop/M-Box case

Can anyone suggest a carrying case that will hold my 15.4" laptop as well as my M-Box (original version)? I've seen the backpack style, but didn't know if there was anything better.

Thanks,
Shawn

I bought an aluminum case made for a 17" laptop that holds everything I need:

15.4" laptop
M-Audio Transit
Presonus Firebox
2 2.5" laptop drives
Marble trackball mouse
3.5" External Drive

I'll take apicture and post a link.

Here's the links.

It may seem big, but since I've had it, I've never forgotten anything at home. In part because the important parts have cut-outs in the foam.

Wow Mark, and I thought I was organized. That's pretty nice.

This is the bag I use for my laptop and MBox (1). It's tight, but I can fit in the computer, MBox, mouse, a small drive, cables, iloks, paper, pens, ear buds, phone ..... you get the picture. It's a Brenthaven.

Oh, and it's almost four years old and still looks pretty new.

Good luck!

At least with this one no one will steal your laptop

includes a 107dB alarm & an 80,000 volt jolt for the foolhardy...

I have been very happy for the past 3 years using a big old 4-section leather case from Targa. It has been all over the world and even dragged under my car on one occaision — no damage to the gear, just a big nasty scratch on the bag itself.

It normally holds:

17" Titanium
AC Supply
60 GB pocket drive
M-Box
Hollywood Dazzle DV bridge
Dorrough 280 E digital peak meter
motu micro express MIDI interface
Sony 7506 headsets
wireless mouse
various audio, video, digital audio, powering cables; disks stopwatch, sharpies, etc...

It can get heavy but it's all there — Pro Tools To Go. It doesn't tear up my car and will stash easilly in an airplane overhead. Try and avoid rolling cases, they can be very hard on the gear, depending what they roll over.

I've used these bags before, and they seemed to be very well made.

Perhaps not quite as hard waring as these , but flexible in terms of use, with options for being worn on the back, slung over the shoulder or hand held.

I hope that helps.
