I don't know any "free" horn samples that sound that good... but you never know. Try soundsonline.com and check out the free download section.

Best,

REALLY good horns, you will find in either Colossus from EastWest or Candy by Yellow Tools (saxophones only) - the negative side is that you will propobly have to wait more than one paycheck... ;-) On the other hand you only need to know someone who owns them to have access if you give them a midid-file for transfer?

Dude, to hell with the synths, call some real musicians, they need the work and will sound WAY better. You don't really think JB uses samples, do you?

Try going to your local college and checking in with the jazz band people. You probably won't have to pay full union wages, like you would for pro session players out in Hollywood, and some college students can play better than pro session players anyway.

I totally agree, but I do not have a band......I am a single guitar player, with burned out dreams of being famous All the stuff I do is all me. I live right in the thick of it here in sunny southern cali, and the arrogence is unbelieveible.....everyone is thirsty for that one in a million shot, and they will step on whoever they can to get there! So I just record for myself, and the real reason of music........Joy....because it fills my soul. Any of you guys ever heard of Lord Groovy and the Psychodelic Zombiez? I went to highschool with three of them. and man were they good....they are not together anymore but the horns they had......sweet! I will use synth for now, and then I will do what I have always done....I will learn to play the horns myself!! Sorry for the rant....something just popped Thank you for the input...and remember, music is for the soul not the bank account Josh
