PTX crashing.
Hey guys. Currently this is what I have.
13" MacBook Pro 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo OSX 10.6.7 4GB DDR3 RAM PT 10 MBox 2 Pro Audio drive is a OWC AL Mercury Pro. Setup is Computer ~ FW800>400 ~ MBox ~ FW400 ~ External Drive. Upgraded from PT9 to PT10 about 10 days ago. Every since then I've been getting random crashes. It has happened randomly when doing things from play back to copy/pasting a few tracks, to making a set of tracks inactive. Happens at least twice a day when working for about 4-5 hours. The sessions I'm working on range from 40-80 audio tracks with about 10-15 aux tracks depending on each session. >Delay Compensation set on small. >Low Latency Monitoring is on. >HW Buffer is maxed at 1024. >Plugin streaming buffer is set to 2 since its all audio tracks and no midi. >Set to 2 processors and 80% computer usage. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Re: PTX crashing.
Have you trashed prefs and database files?

Re: PTX crashing.
Make sure you check those plugins. If something needs an update, it can bug up the whole system.

Re: PTX crashing.
I did try trashing the prefs and that seemed to work for now. I'm thinking my computer would love me a lot more if I ran these sessions at FW800 instead of 400 but right now I'm limited to my MBox 2 Pro. Any interfaces out there that support FW800?
Also how do I check plugins for updates? |

Re: PTX crashing.
I am not sure if this helps but it did for me to check the internet connection (this is important if you are using an VPN), and ensure the related plugins are already the latest version. Hope this helps.
