DUY software ask 99.80€ for EVERYPACK upgrade and they gave in that update compatibility to El Capitan and Sierra. Yeah AVID is Evil

I'm completely happy with his release, it's a major step forward for post workflows and I couldn't be more excited to use it now that it has finally been released. HD users have had comparatively little new features in prior releases, so it's great to see the HD community getting some attention. It seems like Avid have finally started putting pen to paper to work alongside production houses and their feature requests. Which is amazing, awesome work.

In the meantime, it's time to get stuck in and re-work my atmos workflow and get some work done!

HD users [me] are def the ones feeling ..well you know..

But to let off steam..

Avid should split the yearly fee for HD ... i dont need "support" [see: join date]
also Give a 2 week window of getting on the latest version of HD with a reduced fee
many would finally upgrade

these are good solutions for those who carried the Company for decade with very high fees

then again my vanilla Lic is Fine.. the random but many times a day freeze and and hourly 6XXX and 9XXX are kind of shyt tho

Oh PT
I still use you like the ol dog going to his Bowl everyday.. many times :]

As an HD user I still don't see the need for the annual anything with this latest update. How many of us have to mix for Atmos? This is a nice to have but not a must have nor a stability improvement from what I can see.

About the only thing interesting in the recent update is height map capability, which is probably more trickery than anything else. And likely to introduce more bugs than add to the value of Pro Tools.

Still sitting it out...

I've dropped the mic to DUY software. HighSierra is almost here and how much will they ask? eheheheheh but yeah Avid is EVIL (you know I'm being sarcastic, right!?)

Valid sure but only 0.25% of the time.

$99=$399

And as you probably know by now, nobody here really works for Avid, we are all mostly (99%) customers like your self.

Actually probably the right way to get ahead of the system.

Happy to hear many bugs have been fixed .., the amount of bugs, unwarranted errors, and crashes I have had to endure over the last couple of years was my only gripe really.

All I wanted all along really was stability.

.., Now all I WANT is for Pro Tools to have decent MIDI features, and stable ones at that. (and folders)

For MIDI - I have found Cubase blitzes over Pro Tools in every way , shape, and form .., but its not Pro Tools and I still need lots of work in Cubase to come up to speed, as ultimately - I'd rather not do juggling acts between Daw's and just invest by brain in one DAW (if thats possible) as it's not so easy learning new tricks as an old dog.

Therefore - I'd love to see Pro Tools lift their game and come up to speed to match how Cubase handles MIDI

.., after all this waiting for 12.8 - I presumed those MIDI improvements would be included in this version, so it looks like more waiting - Lets hope it is not a long wait.

I don't see that happening ever, Cubase is too strong in that aspect, being conceived as MIDI sequencer and also the best at that, but I certainly hope for MIDI improvements, there is a lot of room to grow in there.
