Wet / Dry Rig
Hi to everyone!
This is my first post. Can I set the eleven rack to run a wet and dry rig...? Meaning, the left output has my amp/affects and the right output has just my dry amp sound?? Thank for your replies. |

Re: Wet / Dry Rig
What outputs are you talking about? You can set the out point for the Output to Amp outputs at *almost any point in the chain.
You can also look into Split In/Split Out. Furthermore, you can record the dry guitar on it's own track by selecting the GUITAR input for the track, and record that at the same time as the effected track.

Re: Wet / Dry Rig
Thank you for your reply Benoni.
When playing live. The main outputs. Left output has my amp/affects and the right output has just my dry amp sound fed to 2 separate power monitors or a power amp that has stereo outputs to 2 separate cabs. The best pro sound I got with a tube amp was with the effects/core tone being on one side, and just the core tone on the other. I have done the wet / dry / wet setup too, yet the second wet cab was not needed. Maybe if I ask it this way, can the 11r be setup to send your amp sound/effects to the left output, and still have just your amp sound on the right output? Making this a wet/dry setup. This creates massive tone. Effects can compromise the original tone. Instead of one amp and cab doing it all, a line is tapped from the dry amp and cab and fed to another amp and cab in which the effects are used. Can the "Output to Amp outputs" be set with the effects/amp tone left, and just the amp tone right? Forgive me for maybe overstating this. I'm deciding if 11r is a good fit for me. Thanks so much. |

Re: Wet / Dry Rig
I found this online in the owners manual.
Output to Amp Selectors The Output to Amp selectors let you choose what point in the signal path feeds Output To Amp outputs one and two, and set the output volume for each, to better match the input sen- sitivity of the external amp or processor. To set the volume of the signal sent to each To Amp output: Left-click the chosen To Amp output selector, and adjust the volume using the fader. To choose what signal feeds each To Amp output: Right-click one of the To Amp Output selec- tors, and do one of the following: • If the selector you click is not yet assigned (greyed out), a menu is displayed, letting you choose to send the signal at the chosen location to Output to Amp output one, two, or both in stereo. – or – • If the selector you click is already assigned to an Output to Amp out (highlighted), you get a menu letting you assign that To Amp output to another point in the signal chain. It reads as if it might be able too. Has anyone ever tried what I am inquiring about? Thanks. |

Re: Wet / Dry Rig
Yes, using 'Output to Amp' jacks will achieve what you're trying to do. 11R main outs could be simultaneously plugged straight into PA as well.

Re: Wet / Dry Rig
If anyone is not familiar with this type of setup.
This is done in conjunction with amps. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OVY7TgeoLJ0 The one below is even more crazy cool! Richie Castellano is talented and awesome for sharing his knowledge. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvarQIPwchE Thats my questions about the 11r and floor processors in a nut shell, in live situations they should just do this...no? In theory, you should just need (wet/dry) 2 powered monitors, or 3 if doing the w/d/w. No 4cm needed... Any thoughts?? |
