Since they've been happening since 11, I personally don't expect to see them fixed in a point update. Maybe I'll be surprised one day....

No mention of fixing the noise blasts that some are experiencing? Or did I miss it?

I'm downloading and testing now, but this would be a permanent showstopper for me.
I've installed 12.5.1 HD over 12.5, running HDX, on Windows 7, and I've opened and played about 4 sessions with no -9173 yet. 8 core I7 running at a fixed speed on 4.4HGz.

Ignore errors is on, so is dynamic plugin processing. Basically the same settings I had when I got -9173 in 12.5.

Also, no CPU spiking noticed either. Seems to behave better than 12.5, where CPU spikes were common. And I do have Click II on some of the sessions. Also Boom and Vacuum, plugins from Waves, Izotope, UAD, PA.

Not in the release notes, only in the blasts-thread Jeffro said they were addressed.

If the 9173 errors aren't fixed, what is the point? Will not be renewing my HD subscription.

Mac i7 8 core, El Cap - and so far I have also not seen the -9173, on a session that was throwing it to me just this morning on 12.5. And as you mention, CPU performance seems to be better. Encouraging - fingers crossed.

The issue addressed in http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=380546 is noted in the release notes as
  • Fixed an unexpected volume change that intermittently occurred when using non-HDX playback engines and starting playback from directly on top of a mute automation event.

When did this start to occur? Which version? I am not sure I've seen this on 12.3.1, which is what I am using for the time being on Yosemite OS X 10.10.5.

-9173 errors started in 12.5. Seems most have been able to roll back to 12.4 successfully.

I also didn't see anything about frozen tracks. I have several sessions where I get the missing files dialog because of frozen files that are no longer in the session. They don't appear in the clip list, so can't remove them from the session. Save copy in fails, so can't get rid of these errors.
