Default Hide and Show tracks bug

I have been having problems with the show/hide tracks list. I will shift/click select several tracks then go for another and the GUI refuses to select anything new. Then, inexplicably, the track is selected and all other track selections are lost. Or, many (or all) tracks are selected and I try to deselect a track and it won't work.

I did some homework and found a show/hide "delay" problem described on another thread, but not a thread that specifically addressed this issue.

Any suggestions?

The same happens to me when selecting regions with the object grabber. And I remember seeing the problem like you explain it, but it seems like a bug.

Ray -

I'm unable to duplicate the problem you're describing. You shouldn't need to hold 'shift' to select additional tracks - just click on the tracks you want to show/hide and it will change the state of the track.

If you are describing something other than this, please explain further. If the behaviour of your system has changed, try trashing prefs to see if that restores normal behaviour.

It seems I have used a Mac convention
of shift-click to show my tracks intention
when all along it has been sufficient
that a single click would have been most proficient

So now I will simply click my track status
And learn a lesson from an expert for gratis
No false report, no bug should be claimed
When it is I myself who should be properly trained
