HD Native Hardware and Sibelius-No Go!!!
Why in the world will HD Native Hardware (HDN card, HDI/O 16x16, and HD Omni) not work with Sibelius Ultimate (2019.9)?
The guys on the Sibelius forum say the Avid ASIO driver was “blacklisted” because it didn’t work with Sibelius. Can one of the Moderator’s please look into this? To me, it is just unacceptable for any Avid software to not work with their top-of-the-line hardware. Thanks, Greg

Re: HD Native Hardware and Sibelius-No Go!!!
If you are allowing Windows to use the HDN card as its "Default Playback Device"(in sound settings), I would change that so Windows uses the on-board sound card(Realtek?). That would leave the HDN card for ONLY Pro Tools(its worth a try anyway). Traditionally, Windows systems are best off when the PT interface is NOT used for Windows audio. If this solves the issue, there are many other ways to get non-Pro Tools audio to come out of your main speakers

Re: HD Native Hardware and Sibelius-No Go!!!
Dave,
Thanks for the reply. I have never let Windows use the HDN card. I have always used optical spdif from the computer onboard sound card to my Central Station for Windows sound. So that’s not it. Unbelievably, the problem really is that the Avid ASIO driver doesn’t work with Avid hardware and Sibelius. The Avid ASIO driver won’t even show up in the Sibelius audio driver dropdown box as a choice. The Sibelius group at Avid have blacklisted it. Pretty lame...huh? Makes you wonder just how resource limited Avid really is. Thanks, Greg
