Default Importing Preferences to Pro Tools 11

I just upgraded to Pro Tools 11 from 10.. It's working well but I wondered if anyone knows how I can import my preferences from 10 to 11?

I have a list of 'favourite' plug-ins that show up under the inserts without having to go to EQ/dynamics/delay first. There's also session templates, fade preferences, pan depth in sessions and a bunch of other stuff that I've set up over the past couple of years. Obviously I can do this manually but it'd take a while to sort everything out.

Is there a quick way I can import the preferences?

Regards,
Jamie

PT11 does a pretty good job of picking up on preferences that you have in PT10, at least it did on the system in my sig file. You don't say what operating system you're on so on Windows it might be different. For whatever plugin you have setup to come up first, if you use the standard Avid way of picking it that's easily setup in Preferences if it isn't picked up immediately. Ditto for pan depth prefs as well. I don't use customized session templates so can't help there. But if you do use the track presets hack in PT10 be aware there's a new location for that folder in PT11 and on a Mac it's in an Avid folder off your Documents folder.

For such a major change in versions, I'd recommend you rebuild EVERYTHING. I do it for all .x releases.

Sometimes bugs can be carried forward into newly made sessions through old I/O settings, templates, etc.

PITA I know, but that's been my experience.
