Default MBox 2 Pro and AC3-passthrough

Hello,

I am trying to play AC3 files through my MBox 2 Pro but seems like impossible...
There is a "mirror analog 1-2 on S/PDIF" option available in System Preferences but no way of accessing the S/PDIF directly from the system sound output...

Any idea?
Thanks.
