Default help auditioning sounds in Xpand

I add an instrument track.
I add Xpand and I cannot audition the sound using my controller.
I can click on the virtual piano on the screen and the sounds work.
I start the record and play my controller and it records notes perfect via midi.
I can play it back and hear it perfect. (though I was not able to hear while I was recording)
I cannot to save my life hear the sounds to audition them before I record.
Please help. I haven't used this plug in about a year. But it shouldn't be this hard to figure out
thanks.

Hello:
Just seen this - did you get it sorted? I have a friend with an LE system with the same problem.

Try these:

-Go to Users > “your user name” > Library > Preferences
-Delete 'com.digidesign.protoolsLE.plist', 'DAE Prefs' (folder), 'DigiSetup.OSX' and 'Pro Tools preferences'.

Go to MacHD>Users>your account>Library>Preferences>By Host and trash 'com.apple.midi.a bunch of numbers and letters.plist'.

Go to MacHD>Users>your account>Library>Preferences and trash 'com.apple.audio.audiomidisetup.plist'.

Empty the trash and restart, then see if everything is working.

yes, there was a little plus and minus sign that let me audition the sounds real time and it was just that simple.
