Control 24 Meters question

So i'm not exactly sure if this is a Control 24 related issue or a Pro Tools HD related issue, but maybe someone can shed some light on whats going on.

So i'm currently running Pro Tools 10 HD, HDX, HD I/O with a Control|24. The issue I'm having is a small one, but annoying nonetheless. I'm pretty familiar with the Control 24, this being my second unit, my first was hooked up to a PC system with a 002 interface, into PT 8 LE. With that system, the meters on the Control 24 matched the meters shown in pro tools exactly. When the control 24 channel strip's red peak LED indicated a peak, the control 24 meter showed a peak, and so did pro tools' meter.

With my current setup, my control 24's peak LED will indicate a peak, but neither the meter in Pro Tools HD 10 or the meter on the Control 24 will show a peak until about 2-3db higher of a signal. I don't know if this is an HD thing, or a Pro Tools 10 thing (last version I ran was 8.) But any idea if this is normal or I should look into it further?

On an unrelated note... The control 24's faders read about -3bd when pro tools' faders are at 0db. Apparently there's nothing that can be done about it, but my old system, and old control 24, where dead on. Has anyone experienced this?

Hi,

In the preferences you have options for both peak hold and clip? Either can hold for 3 seconds or infinite or none. So could be these settings!
