Default Recording problem in Pro Tools LE 6.4 (Windows XP)

When I go to record Pro Tools freezes for about 1-2 minutes then records. Is there something I need to change in the preferences?

I have that problem once and awhile(Only when I use reverb or have alot of plug-ins on the session), Make sure you have nothing else running while running PT(Except other music apps that you want running with it), CPU usage is at 85% and if you haven't make sure you read the manual and change the settings that digi suggests.

..Hmmm, that long ?
I'd try the usual suspects first ;
-a separate, 7200 RPM audio drive ?
-DMA enabled ?
-record time allocation..( set it to length of session )

How does PT do with playing back a session ?

We need some more system info...

cheers,

You can try setting record allocation time to 10 minutes.That would be in the Preference menu.That does help some people.
