Default Re: LE Tiger update is here....still no M-powered!

Thanks for this update which came just before I decided to install OS 10.3.

But, 10 weeks (12 for some of us) was really a long time to wait for being able to run PT.

All seems to work normally with 6.8r2.
I did'nt use the SPDIF input, so I don't know about the bug.
I tried with 12 audio tracks and a few plugins and bounced them.
No problem.

Good news.

Regards,

Laurent.

week #3 will be coming up from the 7/20/05 beta release date
of PTMP for Tiger...
any guesses if they are going to make a final release date 8/10/05?

if past performance is any indication of what is to come....my guess is no...
whatcha think?

To all Pro Tools M-Powered users,

We’re pleased to announce a special preview version of Pro Tools M-Powered 6.8r2 software that delivers compatibility with Mac OS X 10.4.x (“Tiger”). Qualification of Pro Tools M-Powered software on Mac OS X 10.4.x has taken much longer than anticipated due to unforeseen technical issues. This preview of Pro Tools M-Powered allows us to deliver a Tiger-compatible version to you now, while we are hard at work completing our internal qualification. The fully qualified version of Pro Tools M-Powered is anticipated for release within a few weeks . We apologize for the inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience in this matter.

The Digidesign/M-Audio Pro Tools M-Powered Team

The official release of Pro Tools M-Powered 6.8r2, with support for all devices supported in 6.8 was posted along with updated drivers on August 2nd. While the download pages, compatibility documents, and news sections on both the M-Audio and Digidesign websites were updated, an announcement was not made on the DUC at that time. I was out of the country at the time and it was somehow overlooked among the other postings. Our apologies for not announcing here at the same time as the release.
