003 Rack+ / Pro Tools 8.05 FAILURE TO INSTALL! Please Help!

I have never had problems before re-installing the software when a problem was too big to handle otherwise........I've done everything, trashing preferences, complete uninstall, getting rid of all traces of pro tools, zapping pram, I have no idea where to go now.

I have the above set-up on a mac 10.6.8, Intel Core 2 Duo, 16gb 1067 MHz DDR3, I have a Glyph 500G Hard Drive hooked to my 003 on one of the 1394 slots. After install when I attempt to boot up everything runs fine right up until its suppose to connect with my 003 and give me my song choice to open.....it simply shuts down the pro tools software and spits out a very long crash sequence.

I got an access violation message one time, I got a message saying ASSERTION IN "', Line 1344 another time and I also got a 'system extension"/system/library/extensions/DigidesignElevenRack.kext" was installed improperly and cannot be used. Try reinstalling again or contact vendor for up date - another time........most of the time it just crashs with the same huge crash screen message and no other clues........

Can anyone tell me anything that is happening here and how to fix it. Might be my installation disc and I've tried to get a download from Avid with no luck so far. Any help would be greatly appreciated.....I am behind 3 days cause of this already..
