i7 GS70 for a secondary rig?
Hey Guys,
I'm looking for some opinions from some Windows laptop users on compatibility and how you run your setups. I have a permanent rig in my basement, but my wife wants me to buy a new laptop for the house (not a mac). I thought I would try to get a laptop that could handle Pro Tools 11 and NI Komplete 9 for some rough mixing and editing duties, and maybe a bit of VI writing. Any opinions if this one would work well (I know how finicky these Windows laptops can be)? http://www.ncix.com/detail/msi-gs70-...7-b0-97553.htm On another note, I have a spare 003 that I'm not using anymore in my studio room, but I'm assuming there isn't a way to use it for this application given the lack of firewire... I plan on just using cans, but am interested how anyone out there with laptops would suggest I monitor my sessions? Just asio4all with laptop's on board audio? Thanks, Aaron |
