PTF 16 or 24 bit question
When recording a new session, I'm always asked to check 24 bit or 16 bit (with the 24 as the default already-checked box...)
I was under the impression that because PTF is working thru Sound Manager, it's ALWAYS at 16 bit. True? Or is there any benefit to checking the 24 bit marker? If not, then is there a way to not receive this prompt, or at least to have it default to the 16 bit marked box? Thanks. (There are a lot of helpful people on this forum!) Gene |

Re: PTF 16 or 24 bit question
I believe you are correct in assuming it's always 16 bit. That's the highest bit that the Apple Software and hardware can record. I don't think you can get rid of that box, but you can simply hit tab, then return to switch to 16 bit, then get rid of the box quickly.
