Pro tools LE 7.4 Workstation to Mbox question

I have the Mbox2profactory
I the original yamaha Motif61 with instrument and midi cables all hooked properly

I can't get pro tools to trigger the motif when i hit record play on the transport.

Is there a setting on the keyboard/pro tools that i have to set/change to get this.

I had to reinstall it for my new computer so i know im close but it's not going yet...I am getting a signal on the meter bridge from the keyboard.

I'm assuming you mean a signal on the midi track.

Have you assigned the output selector on the midi track to your Motif61? If it isn't showing up as an option then you'll have to set the Motif up in the Pro Tools>Setup>Peripherals>Midi Controllers menu.

You'll also then need an Instrument/Audio track for the return signal with the input selector assigned to the Motif (or just select 'All'). If you use an audio track record enable it to hear the signal.

The Pro Tools Reference guide tells you how to do this.

Edit: You can of course just use an Instrument track and record midi straight to that track.
