Upgrading form Pro Tools 6.4 to 6.9
I currently have Pro Tools 6.4 on my system but recieved a 6.9 CD upgrade. When trying to install it- my computer prompts me to uninstall my previous version of Pro Tools. My question is: if I uninstall my Pro Tools & then upgrade to 6.9, what will happen to my tracks that were recorded on my previous version? will they be uninstalled too or possibly corrupted in any way? Is it safe to do this without losing any of my previous work?

Re: Upgrading form Pro Tools 6.4 to 6.9
As long as you haven't done anything dumb (like put all your sessions in the Database folders or plug-in settings folders, etc).. then your sessions will be fine.
I shouldn't have to mention the fact that all your sessions are already meant to be backed up in duplicate though. Rail
