Default DeviceServicesLib not found

I can't run ProTools Free on my PowerBook because when I lunch ProTools, an OS message box tell me something like "DeviceServicesLib not found" and program do not start-up.

My hw/sw configuration is:

PowerBook 1400, G3/233 upgraded, 64 MB RAM, MacOs 8.6.

May someone help me ?
May someone send the library on my mail address [email protected]

thank-you!
Giorgio

I know the problem (with my old macintosh, I have the same error message). It's very simple and...bad...because your macintosh is too slow for ProTools free! I've changed my macintosh (for a 9600/350MHz) and ProTools run now.

Thank you for your answer Arnaud.

I think incredible that a G3/233 MHz is too slow, probably PT don't use hw in smart mode

Anyway, thanks

Giorgio

It's not that the machine's too slow, the older motherboards just aren't supported - if you had an original G3/233 I'm sure it would work fine.

The PB1400 is based on a NuBus Mac motherboard chipset. NuBus is not supported by PT LE.

Regardless, PT LE's minimum RAM requirement is 128MB. So, even if you didn't have that NuBus problem, you wouldn't have enough RAM to even launch it.
