Default Stereo - Mono Comparison

What is the easiest (or best) way in ProTools to switch a Mix Session (ie: Master Fader) between stereo and mono for compatibility checks?

So far, I have been using Isotope's Vinyl free plug (on the master fader) to do it (a "stereo mono switch" is so sweet).

Any other suggestions?

I keep a bypassed Waves S1, with its width set to 0 degrees, strapped across my final AUX. Command-clicking the plug defeats the bypass and lets me hear things in glorious mono.

IHTH.

You'd think Digi would have a nice little inclusive plug to do this? .... or better still, a "mono button" on the Master Fader? Wouldn't think it would require too much code for either case?

Stig ..... very cool .... thanks, I tried it out. Some nice features. Wish you could resize that window.

Digi should include something like this ... really!
