ilok license transfer for PT10 vanilla--any roadblocks?

I haven't been in the Avid world for a while, but I know they've changed the rules about how some Pro Tools iLok licenses may or may not be transferred from one user to another, so I want to check on this before I make any unwitting mistakes.

I want to purchase a vanilla PT10 license from another user. Under the current rules, is he able to just transfer the license from his iLok account to mine? Or is it now also restricted like the HD licenses are? Thanks in advance.

There are no problems with the non HD licenses as long as they aren't attached to the new Annual plans and monthly subscription plans.

Just make sure its a legit copy and that you get the full license (no EDU licenses) and then install the software for PT10.

There is a $25 ILOK fee though but other than that you should be up and running within minutes

I'm trying to transfer my PT12 stuff over to another Ilok I own (I didn't pay attention when buying and installing, and somehow it was decided that a new account under my email address name would be made... Long story).

Anyway. I'm trying to transfer and the ilok manager will only let me transfer the eleven plugin, telling me that the publisher has restrictions that prevent transfer of the remaining stuff (PT) . This is a perpetual lic. of PT12 that I bought 4 or 5 months ago.

Does this make sense?
