Default Can Anyone From Avid Explain This?

I've been having problems with PT, so I felt nothing was too unimportant to look into. After unzipping 2022.12 from Avid this is what I found after scanning. It was the same for every PT file I downloaded from Avid. Windows defender found no virus. Can anyone explain this? My system is clean.

I've never heard of Gridinsoft Anti-Malware..

While I personally use MS Defender, I'm sure there are others with McAfee, Norton etc. who'd be posting if there was an issue with the installers.

Joel, I guess you are right. Defender is quite a good antivirus, and it didn't see anything wrong.

I run everything through Norton, and have found no issues with Pro Tools.

Hey Tom. Thanks for the reassurance. I can safely assume that Gridinsoft is 'seeing things'.

Well, that would be my first thought.

I'm guessing "heur" means heuristics, which is a method that looks for certain design features that are commonly seen in harmful software, yet are not actual known bad actors. It could just be something innocuous here tripped up the antivirus heuristics analysis.
