mbox2 mini and mac air

Hi,
i have an 'old' mbox2 mini (blue face) and have recently purchased a mac air. how do i get the mac air to work with the mbox2 mini? Do i need to download a driver of some sort? I have attached the mbox to the mac air via USB but I am not getting the light on the mbox! I am not interested in protools by the way. I just use garage band!!

You can download drivers here:http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/d...2-Mini-Drivers be aware though that there are not Yosemite drivers available. If you're running Yose you can try the Mavericks drivers and see if they work, if not, you'll either have to go down to Mavericks (if you can), or look at getting a newer interface, unless Avid release updated drivers for the Mbox 2 in the future.
