3rd party plugins not showing up in session
Hi there, I'm having trouble getting my Guitar Rig software to show up as a plug-in in PT. It worked before, but a few months ago I had to re-install PT and it hasn't shown up since. The native plug-ins are visible and operational, though.
Spec-wise, I'm using a Macbook Pro w/ a 2.8 GHz processor, running OS X 10.9.2. My interface is an M-Audio Fast Track Pro, and I'm using Pro Tools 11. I'm also using an external hard drive, an OWC Mercury Elite AL Pro, connected with a FW 800 cable. I've already checked Mac HD>Library>Application Support>Digidesign>Plug-ins, and Guitar Rig 5 is in there. I also checked the version, saw it needed to be updated, and did so, to version 5.2. However, it still isn't showing up in PT, and I'm not sure what the next step is. Any help would be much appreciated! |

Re: 3rd party plugins not showing up in session
I'm actually having this same issue, and I just posted my question here:
http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?p...=1#post2182627 I found the plugins folder at Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins, and everything seems to be in order. All of the Avid plugins are there, as well as all the 3rd party ones that aren't showing up in PT11. Any other possibilities? |

Re: 3rd party plugins not showing up in session
Are you sure you've installed latest versions, eg Native Instruments implemented 32bit AAX before 64bit? The 32bit versions still get put in the Avid Plugins folder.
Do they appear in Pro Tools 10 (if you have that co-installed)? If they do, then remove any .dpm versions in the digidesign folder to the unused plugins folder, and relaunch PT10. If those plugins still appear then you have 32bit AAX versions installed. All current NI stuff is now 64bit and appears in my PT11. The latest installers all install aax versions that include both 64bit and 32bit elements.
