Default external hard drive with protools 6.8.1
I have used a maxtor external hard drive with my protools LE 6.8.1, which came bundled with my new Mbox2...it has given me problems, so I got a new lacie 160 GB external drive, which protools refuses to recognize as an audio volume...

have already googled this and seen some posts, but none seem to address my particular version of protools...tried to upgrade to 6.9.2, but it wouldn't allow it b/c of the version i have...
tried to change the "T" to an "R" on the "show workspace" window...didn't work...tried to reformat the drive...wouldn't work either...

should i just upgrade to version 7.0 or is that a waste of money? sounds like some people have had success from just upgrading their protools...

yeah i tried reformatting...it gave me an error message saying that the drive could not be reformatted...
