6.8.1 won't initialize

I just got an MBox2 on saturday, and the Pro Tools 6.8.1 will not "initialize". as soon as i try to start pro tools, i get an error with...(0xc0000005). i know the Mbox 2 itself works, i have been using it with reason adapted.

i'm not sure what to do.

i have a Sony Vaio, running xp...here's the system info.

Is this a blue screen error?

If so, have you updated your Pace Drivers as recommended on the compatibility page?

I think you're a pioneer on here with the mBox2; You're the first poster I've seen to actually own one.

it's not a blue screen error. it's just a normal error box. it happens before the Pro Tools start-up screen comes up.

i just tried updating those drivers just in case, still the same message.

you're right i am a pioneer...i guess...hmm...i don't know if i want to be one now...

Yeah, you might get quicker/better results contacting digi directly with this problem, seeing as how the mBox2 is so new.

okay,

for everyone who reads this...

i contacted digidesign, we discussed the problem for over an hour. they had me disable, enable, update, uninstall, install, etc, various things in windows. of course, nothing worked.

they had never heard of this problem, and they had no solution.

so...yeah. i have a cool box next to my computer, with a bunch of neat knobs and buttons, but as of right now i can't use it. sorry. i'm an [bleep].

once digidesign gets back to me with a solution, i'll post it, for anyone else who may have the same problem.
