Default dma and 9093

about four seconds into recording the first track on a session i get the 9093 error. my buffer is at the maximum. ive been reading alot of posts about enabling dma is the fix to this problem. but when i go to the properties on my hard drive, i dont get a settings tab. so i cant enable dma. im lost. help.
piii 750
256ram
two 20g ide hard drives
sb 128 card

What brand computer do you have. Either that or you may not be looking in the correct place. Right click my computer, go properties, Device manager tab. A list of all types of devices on your computer should show up. click on the plus sign of the disk drives then on the hard disk you are using. You should get a window with the three tabs General, settings, and driver. If it is not there i dont know why cause i am even using a generic driver for my hard disks. Also what kind of hard drives do you have???

after i change my ide drv by quantum atlas IV scsi and adaptec 2940 U2W my problems do not exist more. try it

opps , i forgot!
when i atached my SB live in my ssystem, the digi 001 don't work fine and the auto test fail : dsp clock failed #42
when i remove SB live, the digi 001 returns to normal!!!!

Hi,

Perhaps try changing the setting in the buffer size ( i think) to the 0 option rather than 2 or whatever you have it on.. We changed that on our system, works fine.
Remember to reload for it to take effect.
