HUI malfunction in 2023.6 alternate HUI driver?

My old Tascam US2400 functions flawlessly

PT 2023.6
My old Tascam US2400 is useless
- faders don't jump to position at session start-up
- touching with the mouse, makes them jump to the correct value
- banking doesn't refresh faders


Tascam is in PT mode


Peripherals settings are all ok - same as in 2019.12


i tried to change the HUI.bundle in
ProTools
Content
frameworks
controllers

didn't work...

does anyone have alternative HUI drivers?

other ideas?

Totally shooting in the dark here, but have you tried launching in Rosetta mode vs. Apple Silicon mode?

HDX HUI via ipMidi working fine.

How about your Midi device?

have to use rosetta, no choice...

Hi. Is Hui inside the app? (Package contents)
Maybe pull from working app and put in the newest package.

HUI is indeed in the package -content - frameworks - peripherials


i pulled / exchanged with the HUI.bundle from another install in another machine with no luck...

OS 13.6.3


I unsinstalled PT 2023.6 dumped some cash on avid.com to install

PT 2023.12


same faulty behaviour of HUI - my Tascam US2400 controller is useless

Might be Midi driver-
Midi interface?

I use a Nucleus with IP MiDi (paid version)
All native and with rosetta2.
OS 14.2 PT's 2023.9 HDX 1

HUI working fine with my “unsupported” gen 1 Faderport on Mac Ventura, both with 2023.6 and 2023.12. Can’t say it looks like a HUI malfunction from here.

The Tascam is hooked up direcly through the USB and recognised in the AudioMidi setup. The Tascam US2400 Icon indicates that it is recognized. However moving the protools faders is moving the physical faders, but not the other way round.
