Interesting idea. I'm curious what they say about it. What connection it gives them.

No. Bigger is not better and placement is very important.

Make sure your monitor is not so far back that it reflects the signal from your speakers back to you, you don't want that, if you can either place them below or above the monitors out of the way of reflections.

If you place the monitor close to you, in front of the speakers, be aware of edge refraction.

As a rule, I make sure all screen monitors are a max of 22'' or less the 22''.

I'm more worried about the big console than the edge of my monitors. I've had my mix room analysed and tuned and the monitor had no impact in the overall sound.

You mean reflections from the desk itself? Off the surface of the desk?

Nice space you have there my friend....

Yes. The acoustic dudes have a name for it. It makes a dip at 100 to 150 hz. The console, floor, and front wall has a detrimental effect on the low end in every control room for near field monitoring. In my room the dip was 10 to 12 db at 125hz. Adding stereo sub woofers and the install of a trinnov monitoring system solved the low end issue.
When I put in the new S6 I'm redoing the front wall for soffit mounted Adam main monitoring.

I have my current monitor on a VESA extension, I can have it all the way back to the wall, or as close as 6" from my face if I want.

Default Re: DP\HDMI splitter (KVM)

I use a pair of Dell 27 via DP in my home studio (2560x1440). Since I also work from home I have to be able to switch from my HP laptop to my mac pro. As unplugging cables is a PITA I did the search for an inexpensive KVM and I found the VellBox which is cheap on amazon. Even has a remote if you want to place it far away. At 55 buck on amazon its a steal. Thought I would share. Its construction is all metal and it also has USB and headphone ports etc though I dont use that. Good if you want to be able to easily switch displays etc. Peter
