Default Scarlett 2i2 & 11r

In going through some of the threads here it seems to me - I could use another input (pre-amp, etc) but ONLY if the device can run in stand alone mode, is this correct????

I just purchased a Scarlett 2i2 to use as a mic pre (usb into iMac) along with my 11r - but when I open PT I don't see the Scarlett in my I/O options. I can see the Scarlett when I go to the Audio/Midi Window under utilities on the iMac.

Anyone have any idea's?? I'm still a newbie in the PT game!!

Try reinstalling the latest driver for the Scarlett and restarting.

Yep - I've already done that. Contacted Focusrite as well, haven't heard back from them yet.

Just FYI - figured out my problem. I need to be using the Pro Tools Agregate I/O to use BOTH I/O's (11r & Scarlett 2i2) - after some initial problems with buffer issue's changed the format in Audio Devices to match both devices and it's been working fine since.

Hope this helps anyone else who may find the same problem

Hi! I know this is an old threat, but it's my case right now. Could you kindly post the settings you are using to run both interfaces at the same time??
Many thanx!
