Reset Paths-I/O setup.
I have found that when I work with some sessions that come from a client with diffrent I/O setups then myself and I wish to reset I/O paths it does not work.
Example: I have a session that was saved with only 8 I/O paths. I open that session on a 4 interface system and wish to reset the path settings by hitting "Default" In I/O setups page. And nothing happens. Per the manual 5.1 (page 65) "The default button in the I/O Setups dialogue provides two primarry functions: Creates New, Default paths up to the capacity of your systems available audio interfaces and resources, - Resets selected path names to matching or corresponding paths in the current I/o Setup configuration. I do not find this to be working on sessions whos i/o setups were created on a 1 888 machine then opened on a 4 888 machine. In those cases hitting "Default" does not return the i/o setups to factory settings. I.E assigning a Input and output for each and every available I/o! Please help, has anyone else experienced this problem? |
