OT:Multi-Channel output into Surround Receiver
Does anyone know how I can get multi-channel output from my PB G4 17" or any Mac into a high end 7.1 surround receiver? I have two optical inputs and two coaxial digital inputs on the receiver. I'd like to play DVDa and DVD movies with all channels. Right now I'm going through Airport Express and while the stereo is amazing through a wireless connection, I'd like to make use of the surround channels. Also does anyone know where to get DVD-a music to sample on this system?
Thanks, Allen |

Re: OT:Multi-Channel output into Surround Receiver
Thanks,
That looks like it should work. Just need to figure out how to get iDVD and iTunes to play out through the USB port now. Thanks for the link. Did you notice that M-Audio is now a part of Avid. Probably not something new, but I just noticed it. Getting to be a monster. Allen |

Check out that neat utility for sending certain programs to different audio outputs. Once you install the drivers for that M-Audio piece, you could select it as an output in Detour for anything you want. You could also use the normal way and route everything through it but that can get annoying if you just wanna watch a movie or something and you have people IMing you. Anyway, good luck with that.
