Faders won't move
Hi:
I am wondering if anyone can help me with this. All of a sudden, my faders on my virtual mixing window in Pro Tools, will not allow me to move them up or down with my mouse. I don't think i changed any settings, but all of a sudden this happened. Thank-you for your help. |

Re: Faders won't move
Can't you move them? Or will they jump back, once you moved them?
The latter is, because there's one or more automation breakpoints in your volume automation.

Re: Faders won't move
Hi Meads:
They won't move at all. I also have a Korg nanoKontrol2 hooked up (a hardware interface). The sliders will move using the hardware control, but not with my mouse. Up till now, either worked. I also checked other session files and the sliders cannot be moved by the mouse on all of them. I have had the automation issue before, but this is not the same. |

Re: Faders won't move
Did you never find a solution for this? I have suddenly been faced with the same issue. In my ProTools sessions I'm unable to select solo, mute, or move the virtual faders at all. It is as though they are olocked. I'm also unable to get the faders to move on my controller. Oddly enough I am still able to add tracks, change inputs and change automation. This has affected every single ProTools session I have. Any ideas? I'm kinda dead in the water without these.
For my setup I'm using ProTools 9, two Profire 2626s for my interface and two BCF2000s for my controllers. Thanks in advance. |

Re: Faders won't move
Actually nevermind. After further research ity was determined that the driver simply didn'tg load when initializing Pro Tools. I had to do a few full restarts before it started working again. Frustrating, but recoverable.
Thanks anyway. |
