How do you physically get to the automation data of the aux send and or plug in to copy and paste it to another?

You can view any kind of automation data on each track in the edit window. On audio tracks you would normally view waveforms, but you can change this view to for instance send A volume automation.
Select with the Selector tool the length you'd like to copy, and then special paste this automation into any other view.

Can you do it with Plug in Volume etc as well?

Yes, just about any auto-enabled parameter. I encourage you to try it for yourself.

When you auto-enable a parameter, say input level for a compressor, this parameter can be viewed in the edit window on that track.

One last question, is there a way to copy ALL of the plug in automation between plug ins or tracks or a particular section of a track instead of the parameter by parameter method?

Not at the studio right now, but I think it's copy > special paste > all enabled.



Hold on - there's also copy special > all automation. That's the way to go.

After a cup of coffee I do think that special paste only can work with one automation playlist at a time, since you're "cross-pasting" between different kinds of automation.
