Download the Mojave combo updater from Apple. Follow the steps to downgrade to Mojave from Catalina which are well documented - there aren't any new Macs that will only run Catalina... so not an issue.

so much for releases every 3 months ... when was the last release ?? June !!!
Well, last release was quite a big performance update (2019.5) so not that small feat, and 99% of users seem happy about the outcome. The 2019.6 is less snappy for me, but also works, and now, if they replace the old AVE with some new 64bit code - again, not that small feat - we will hopefully have a modern reliable video engine. Well worth the wait. I would also like to see it tomorrow, but happy to wait some more (a reasonable time, please Avid!) to see as good release as 2019.5 was...

Everyone thinks otherwise. Yes, even post engineers (we have quite a few) find this update to be blah.

No one should apologize for stirring up controversy about this. It's borderline fraud, and some would argue that it's not even borderline at this point.

Any competent programmer could program and debug tracklist folders in under 48 hours, don't think for a second they aren't withholding this feature on purpose.

Before this thread descends. Just remember that people use PT for different reasons, and different workflows need attention at different points in time. If you aren't happy with the way things are going, jump ship! No one is stopping you, the grass might even be greener .. ? Who knows? This forum won't fix your dissatisfaction, only you can.

In my case, Pro Tools provides me with 100% of my annual income. For the measly fee of $399 annually, I'm able to live very comfortably. *Not to mention that fee is deductible. Pro Tools doesn't owe me anything, I pay for the service because it's an essential part of running the business.

Now, back to complaining!

Well said (TrentWilliams)
But-It's the penalty ($999) that beefs everyone up.

Solid 64 bit non Quicktime32pro
HDVid4-8K All dependent on core elements.
(then likely Catalina)
Good for all versions!

Here here.

My two PT Ultimate licences cost $580 CDN each, not "cheap", but worth it as this is my bread and butter tool. I spend more yearly updating my other gear and various bits of ancillary software.

Now back to work for me...
