Default Dynamic Plug In Processing - 9173 etc.

Try to insert an Avid "Simple Gate"
at the end of every Plug In chain / on every channel

and watch your CPU meter !

My best guess is,
a lot of Plug Ins produce some kind of "analog noise"
even Pro Tools is in " Stop" / not playing

which kills " Dynamic Plug In Processing "

It´s worth a try
