Pro Tools usually takes years before catching up with the rest of the world, their priority is to study the market, charge you as much as possible then release a version you will be forced to pay up more for, AKA a "cash grab stunt".

Enjoy

Even with the built in GPU but of course the eGPU is still much better but if you are doing just audio the built GPU is getting the job done nicely on Catalina. Its like I have a new computer and it wasn't bad before.
I’m debating between a Windows PC and a Mac Mini. I’m concerned about the integrated graphics being able to drive my Dell 38” ultra wide (3840x1600) monitor w/o causing issues. If you don’t mind my asking - what monitor are you using?

I’m using a 28” Dell 4K monitor @ 2560x1440. It works just fine at 3840X 1600 but the images are too small for this screen size and I’m not doing any Video production work just Audio. I’m not sure the model I’ll have to get back with you on that. I do plan to get an eGPU just to relieve the video load off of the Mini and free up the rest of the ram I’m sure you know the built in graphic share the physical ram but for what I’m doing the built works just fine especially on Catalina. I forgot to mention I’m also using a second Samsung 27 monitor at 1920x1080 at the same time and it’s all good.
