Default Protools 11.3 not recognizing HD Native card [solved]

This is fun. I installed 11.3 on two separate systems. Both systems are almost identical. Same plugin's, OS, etc. One is a MAC 4,1 the other is 5,1, both running OS10.10.1. Both ran 11.2.2 just fine. Both have an HD Native card.

After installing 11.3, the 4,1 doesn't recognize the Native card. When the Protools software loads up, under playback engine, it's no where to be found.

I have swapped and switched out the HD cards, both work fine on the other machine. I have tried switching to a different interface, Omni and HD I/O. I tried uninstalling the HD drivers and reinstalling. I tried going back to 11.2.2 and older HD drivers.

The only other difference is the 4,1 machine has 10.3.9 co-installed. That doesn't recognize the HD card either. I tried to uninstall 10.3.9, but as luck would have it, the uninstaller seems to not want to uninstall it. =/

Short of my wiping my drive and reinstalling the OS and PT, anyone have any (good) suggestions?

I am running a 4,1 Mac Pro with HD Native on both 10.8.5 and 10.9.5. I was having 11.2 issues but 11.3 is working for me. There is a new 11.3 HD driver. Did you install that as well?

Yep. Tried going back to previous drivers and 11.2.2 as well.

This happened here too but doing the PRAM thingy fixed our issues.

Have you tried that?

Just an update. I wiped the HD and reinstalled OS10.10.1 and installed Protools 10.3 and HD driver 10.3. Seems to be working fine now. My guess is the 10.3.9 co-install was somehow conflicting.

Now for all the plugin installs. =/

That or there was an older script left over from the previous HD driver and now it's gone after wiping the drive clean.

Happy to hear it is working now.

And happy plugin install evening

i just installed 11.3 on maverick 10.9.4 and the computer keeps crashing and rebooting on it's own…wonder if it's cause I'm on 10.9.4 instead of 10.9.5

11.2.2. worked just freakin fine and 11.3 works on 10.8.5
