Video playback problem
Hoping someone can help me out here.
I have a session that has seven videos in it, all on one video track. It's a movie that has seven reels, each one starting on the hour. When I hit play, the movie plays okay, but if I go into record by pressing COMMAND-Spacebar, the movie doesn't playback. It just shows the frame that it was parked at before going into record. If I hit play, and then punch in using QuickPunch mode, it works as you would expect. I've never experienced anything like this and am wondering if anyone can shed light on this. Running 10.6.6., PT9.0.1 on an Intel Mac. The movie is being played thru the second monitor output of the main video card. |

Re: Video playback problem
Okay, I've found the problem. Seems like a bug. I tried about twenty things before I stumbled upon the cure to this. I had a small pre roll (3 ticks) built into my template to make sure that the first click on the grid played. Removing this pre roll fixed the issue. Having pre rolls up to about 100 ticks caused the problem. When I increased it to 240 ticks, the problem went away.
