Eucon with v-control pro ipad2 no vu levels showing !

Mc-mix / contol + V-Control pro with ipad2 is your best friends with PT ! (or other daw).
Too bad Eucon enabled in PT cannot show vu levels in v-control in ipad2 !

Please AVID do something !

Cause NeyRinck says it's a hui poblem with PT !

Who is right ?

Avid will never update hui protocol. Hui hasnt been supported for years.

Well... you can try the V window and see the metering in the edit or mix window there, but that whole thing is a bit laggy. Neyrinck did inform me that it is a PT/Eucon/HUI bug. The only other option is to disable (uncheck) the Eucon option in peripherals which releases the metering to the V-con main fader window. Depending on if that works for you or not it's an option/workaround. I use my V-con as a remote record controller so disabling Eucon when I need the V-con for that is not a deal breaker, but I could certainly imagine other scenarios where that may suck.

Really, NeyRinck keeps telling me to ask AVID for an update !

This issue is not specific to HUI protocol. Pro Tools does not send metering to any secondary MIDI controllers, including Command 8, and my understanding is that it is a bug. If you haven't already, you can go to http://protools.ideascale.com/, search for "Enable Metering In Second Controller" and vote to get Avid to fix this.

Still no Solution ? Is EUCON 3.0 going to solve this "v-control" issue ?

It's not a bug. That is the way it works. When another controller and HUI is in use, PT doesn't send HUI meter info. Just a limitation. Probably intentionally limit HUI. At least Avid brought HUI to PT11 and 64 bit.

avid, so how about it? 4 years in the making, i think wit hthe s3 and Pro Tools Control app this needs to work
