Real life experience with Magma pe6r4 and new mac pro

Now that this configuration has made its way to the compat page how many are using this?

How is performance?

Just thinking out loud: We have 2 HD 3 Accel systems - 1 was changed over to Mac Pro w/PCIE 1 year ago, but we are still needing to update our remaining PCI cards and move beyond our aging G5 Dual 1.8.

The magma box might buy us 3-5 more years before exchange if there's no apparent performance difference.

When did that happen???? I've been waiting for an update. Did they do a software update, or are just saying that it now works with 7.4.1.
I couldn't get it to work a few weeks ago.

Yes a big question mark No cs update but suddenly qualified???

There's been a few users trying with the pe6r4 harpertown/leopard 5.1 and PT 7.4.1 Or at least i think they're using the qualified setup, but no glowing reports that i have seen.

I would like for digi, to shed some light on as to why the chassis is compatible all of a sudden when users are reporting problems.

It's not 'all of a sudden' - it's been qualified since 7.4.1 for Leopard was announced.

I just searched the DUC and see the reports of problems, but given the symptoms, I think this is due to a PCI timing reset issue with their cards. I'm replying to that thread and having them contact us to get their cards swapped.
