Do you have any subfolders in your Plug-ins folder? If so, try moving all your plug-ins to your main Plug-Ins folder and delete the subfolders. See here:

Works on PT9, not sure if it is the same issue in PT10.

I just started having this problem as well. I've been using PT10 since the first week it was out and only started having this problem yesterday. Tried restarting, closing all open windows, setting the buffer to max - all with no success. It's a simple mix, so I'm not pushing my system. Very curious that it just started happening.

Finally got a couple bounces to work. I changed the setting in the bounce menu to "Convert During Bounce." I had tried a number of things including moving any folders out of plugins with no success. Still don't understand why this just started happening, but at least I seem to have found a work around for now.

Yeah, It seems very inconsistent, as to what may trigger it.
Must be something very basic going wrong in the relationship between DAE and the OS.

Dear Mr Avid......

This is still occurring, Do you have a fix yet?

This time it occurs 5 min into a simple 8 track bounce down with only 5 plugins.

this is one of the biggest problems when u use a native program... native will let u push ur system to beyond a stable operating point... so u can easily make a mix that u wont be able to bounce... the best thing to do in this situation is record the session to a stereo track and then bounce the stereo file... u could also make stems and that should free up enough processing power... or u could just buy a HD or HDx system

Thanks, Understood, by I am hardly driving the machine at all.
It is clearly a bug.
8 mono 44.1khz 24bit tracks on an imac i7 with 8G of mem.... I have about 99% of the machine left to use 8-)

Nah, This is somethiing wrong with the way DAE is interacting with the OS, or something else. Though I have tried stopping almost everything else. Short of a reload of MAC OSX Lion, which would be very time consuming.

The DAE clearly has a problem, and I'll not pay them money for a support ticket, when this is clearly a wty issue.

Strange how someone who was so very very pro protools can change their attitude when a company decides to start treating customers like a liability.
